Singapore Zoo

This morning, Harry & I set off for the zoo precinct once again. Kerri has opted out and went off to explore Chinatown and Little India. We visited the zoo this morning and will follow with Bird Paradice  this afternoon.

We had already seen an extensive range of animals at the night zoo and the daytime zoo was no different. Along with a tiger, we saw three spotted cats including a serval (above)....

A leopard that was climbing the rockwork and tree in the enclosure...

And a pair of cheethas that were chilling out in the shade.

We stopped for a while to watch the sea lion show.

There were some impressive reptiles including a Komodo Dragon (above) and Iguana (Below).

The butterfly house was a favourite, as was Harry's bright clothing.

The Fragile Forest was essentially an aviary but had a lot more than birds. The Ringtailed Lemeurs were not fussed by the human visitors.

The Fragile forest was home to a sloth (above) that was hanging out pretending to be like the neigbours (below).

The Fragile Forest did have plenty of birds from the bizaar Black-casqued hornbill (above) to the beautiful Crowned Pideons (below).

We were lucky enough to see a couple of different species of poison dart frogs in the reptile house (Yes, I am aware they are amphibions, but that is where they were).

The usual suspect were there too. Primates, giraffes and hippos amongst others.

We were done by lunch time and needed a break. In all, the zoo was a pretty decent experience. It is well designed and maintained so both the animals and visitors are comfortable.
Next up... Bird Paradice.
